Position Description:
Insite Engineering, Surveying & Landscape Architecture, P.C. (Insite) is seeking a landscape architect with 10+ years experience.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
As a Landscape Architect for Insite, you will lead and contribute to site development plan and landscape design projects, provide technical guidance , and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality landscapes and site plans. You will work with Principals of the firm on site development projects and associated permitting. You will be working on a team with the support of civil engineers, junior landscape architects, designers, and CADD operators. You will also collaborate with project engineers, project landscape architects and other professionals on larger projects. In the office you will oversee the day-to-day preparation of site plans, subdivision plans, roadway/driveway design plans and profiles, grading plans, landscape plans, earthwork calculations, and erosion and sediment control plans.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture
• 10+ years of applicable experience in a professional office
• Certification as a Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) in NY is preferred.
• Ability to work well on a team and to teach and mentor junior staff.
• Expertise in the principles, techniques and practices of landscape architecture – concept through construction.
• Knowledge in the principles, practices and instruments used in computer aided design, drafting and rendering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
