Studying for LARE

To become licensed in New York State, you must have attended an accredited landscape architecture program, obtained relevant work experience, and passed all four sections of the Landscape Architecture Registration Examination (LARE). LARE is administered by the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB). Begin by reviewing CLARB's website and ensuring you have submitted all the appropriate paperwork and payments.

The LARE Blueprint outlines the topics to be covered on each section of the exam and CLARB has put together a list of recommended reading. Both are great places to begin your studies.
