Position Title: Landscape Architect
Location: Rochester, NY
Position Description:
This is a professional and technical position in the Technical Services Division of the Bureau of Architecture and Engineering in the Department of Environmental Services. The employee in this title is responsible for the design of urban landscapes and aesthetic physical environments in conjunction with street design and site development. The Landscape Architect coordinates a wide range of engineering and landscape architecture projects with other City Departments. Typical projects include parks, playgrounds, skateparks, trails, public plazas, public art installations, and streetscapes. The role will include both in-house design and managing consultant-designed projects. This employee will work independently under general direction from the City Engineer and Senior Landscape Architect on a small team with other Landscape Architects and Civil Engineers.
