The Reception will be hosted at Coltivare - and modern, rustic farm-to-table event venue in Ithaca (accommodations available). Join us for an continuing education session in the afternoon, followed by a reception, and presentation of the Professional Awards.
The Chapter Awards Program received a total of 31 professional entries distributed among 6 categories. The entries were judged by a multi-disciplinary jury established by the Minnesota Chapter ASLA.

The Sustainable (SITES®) Initiative™: Overview, Certification and SITES AP
Presenter, Vaughn B. Rinner, PLA, FASLA, SITES AP
This session will include an overview of ecosystem services and the Sustainable Sites Initiative™ (SITES) rating system. It will cover the foundation and goals of the rating system as well as the framework for certification. The presentation will include a review of the sections and a look at the certification process with real project examples. Also included will be a review of the SITES AP examination and designation. Lastly the presentation covers how to make the case for SITES with clients.
Vaughn B. Rinner, PLA, FASLA, SITES AP
Vaughn Rinner is the Immediate Past President of the American Society of Landscape Architects. She has over 40 years of experience in private practice settings, and was a member of the first group of professionals to receive SITES AP accreditation.

We will unveil the presentation boards for the projects recognized in the 2017 Award Program, continue the social reception, and announces the raffle basket winners.
